International Orders

From Our Shelf to Yours - Wherever Yours Happens to Be

Dirty Little Shop is based in the United Kingdom, but Rosa Lee readers are scattered considerably further afield.

We regularly ship internationally, including to readers across the:

🇺🇸 United States
🇨🇦 Canada
🇦🇺 Australia
🇳🇿 New Zealand
🇪🇺 European Union

For physical, non-print-on-demand orders being shipped internationally, we use Royal Mail International Tracked.

Royal Mail's International Tracked service provides tracking through to the delivery point. Its published delivery aim is generally 3–5 working days for Europe and 5–7 working days worldwide after dispatch, although these are targets rather than guaranteed delivery dates. Royal Mail

What Happens After My Order Leaves the UK?

Once an international parcel reaches its destination country, it is normally handed into the local postal network for final delivery.

For example:

Destination Local postal network
🇺🇸 USA USPS
🇨🇦 Canada Canada Post
🇦🇺 Australia Australia Post
🇳🇿 New Zealand NZ Post

Your Royal Mail tracking number can often continue to be used as the parcel moves through the destination country's network.

How Long Will My Order Take?

Remember that dispatch time and transit time are different.

1. We prepare your order

Our in-house team currently aims to dispatch orders once each week.

2. Royal Mail transports your order

Once dispatched, Royal Mail's current International Tracked delivery aim is:

Destination Published delivery aim after dispatch
Europe Approximately 3–5 working days
USA Approximately 5–7 working days
Canada Approximately 5–7 working days
Australia Approximately 5–7 working days
New Zealand Approximately 5–7 working days

These are delivery aims rather than guarantees. Customs processing, local postal conditions, busy periods and events outside our control can increase transit times. Royal Mail

Tracking Your Order

Once your tracked parcel has been dispatched, we'll send tracking information to the email address attached to your order.

International tracking can occasionally appear quiet while a parcel is travelling between postal networks. Additional scans usually appear once it reaches the destination country.

Orders to the United States

We continue to send books to our US readers using Royal Mail International Tracked.

Royal Mail introduced changes to the customs arrangements for goods entering the USA in October 2026. How customs rules apply can depend upon what is being sent, so we keep our shipping arrangements under review as those requirements develop. Royal Mail

For Dirty Little Shop book orders, no additional customer-facing change is currently required.

Orders to the European Union

There are additional customs requirements for goods entering the EU from the UK.

From 1 November 2026, Royal Mail advises that an additional €2 customs handling fee per customs declaration line applies to eligible distance sales entering the EU.

This sits alongside a €3 customs duty per declaration line introduced for eligible B2C parcels valued under €150 from 1 July 2026. A parcel containing different types of items may therefore contain more than one customs line. Royal Mail

EU orders also require additional product-identification information to be supplied electronically from 1 November 2026. We handle this as part of preparing the shipment. Royal Mail Click & Drop Help Centre

Print-on-Demand Products

Some books and merchandise are produced and dispatched by our print-on-demand partners.

Because these may be fulfilled separately from products held by Dirty Little Shop, they can:

  • Arrive in a separate parcel
  • Use a different delivery service
  • Have a different dispatch time
  • Arrive before or after the rest of your order

Any relevant information should be displayed on the individual product page.
